Komagennethys is said to be the last child that Gaia bore before she lost her mind, or her first child after. Or, perhaps, his birth is what send his mother over the edge.

'Nother deity. Drawn mostly about a month ago, finished up and scanned today. I'm working on a freelance job at the moment, and then perhaps a portfolio to submit to...somewhere. So, my posting rate may slow considerably. In fact, the only reason I'm putting this up is because it was easy to polish up enough to post.
This is great! It almost looks like another Hecatonchire, but both were born from Gaia, so they would be alike in some ways, right? Komagennethys could be just a branch of the Gecatonchires, maybe.
Anyways, this is very nice, the shading looks great.
He has the arms for it, if not the heads, so he could be interpreted that way! However, I think of him as more similar to Typhon or others of Gaia's later, more monstrous offspring.
Cool concept and I like the way you handled the shadow areas. But I think adding a cast shadow would really help this pop out more as a 3D object.
But is this part of the same world as your other creature I commented on before? I'm just wondering because part of your described subjects seem to be part of a kind of hard sci-fi world and this, being a deity (unless it's just part of your world's culture) is much more "fantastical".
Thanks! You're absolutely right about the cast shadow.
These deities are not connected to any of my other projects, or even to each other. They are random, self-indulgent character design fun. I may incorporate some of them into the folklore of my Earthblood project, though.
Wow this is a very dynamic work! It looks so natural that I don't even see the page as a flat plane but rather as a space where this creature has infinite reign over.
Anyways, this is very nice, the shading looks great.
Thanks!

Absolutely beautiful!
