Hey, everyone! I just wanted to make an announcement that I am no longer active here, and haven't been for some time. I haven't been reading comments, much less replying to them. Ditto for notes. I may become active here again one day, but for now I'm boxing this place up and putting it in storage. I had some good times here and made some great friends, and I'll be forever grateful for that.

Hey, everyone! As I've said in the descriptions of a few of my recent works, I'm running a Dungeons and Dragons campaign, and both myself and my players have done quite a bit of art for it. It's been forever and a half since I've been a regular at this place. At least a year, maybe two! Trying to bring that to a close now, so over the next few days I'll be uploading a bunch of new work.

There are a few reasons for the hibernation. For quite a while there I got a bit overwhelmed by work and self-conscious about the quality of what I was creating. I felt that I wasn't taking any joy in a lot of what I was making, and just finishing things so that I'd have them done and out of my face. And I felt that this was reflected in the quality of the work. Mediocre stuff, certainly not a step forward and maybe even a step back, and that embarrassed me. A while back I realized that a lot of this was just mental and so I began posting things elsewhere again. I didn't post to Deviantart because, frankly, this place can be a chore. If you're not on top of it every day, the comments and deviations pile up and form a forbidding mountain of obligations and unfinished errands that dissuade me from even coming here. Again, this is partly mental, and I'm getting over it. Unfortunately, just for the sake of my own sanity, that means that most comments made over the last couple of years will go unanswered. Sorry.

So, I'm posting work again. I posted all the work from one client that I want to today, and I'll post work from another client tomorrow, and continue in that fashion. Unfortunately, my favorite work that I've done in the last 18 months is all unpublished, but such is life in this field. Doing personal work again, so I'll post that too.

Hey, people! It's been forever since I updated anything or regularly posted art. That may or may not change soon. However, I WILL be streaming some painting (or trying to) tonight at 7:30 PM Pacific Time, so watch that if you want to. You solve the time zone math.
